The Catholic School of St. Eugene

Welcome to the Catholic School of St. Eugene, a parochial school located in the heart of OKC in The Village. We serve students in Pre-K (3) through 8th grade.

In 1958, Fr. Jim Ross and around 50 to 60 families from Christ the King parish were tasked with building a new parish in north Oklahoma City. The parish was named St. Eugene, honoring Pope Eugene I, who served as Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church from 654 to 657. He was the patron saint of Bishop Eugene McGuinness, who served as Bishop of the Diocese of Oklahoma and Tulsa and died not long before our parish was founded. 

One year later, in August of 1959, St. Eugene Catholic School opened its doors to a small, but enthusiastic group of students. Today, St. Eugene retains that same spirit of faith, dedication, and service. 

The Catholic School of St. Eugene serves approximately 300 students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. 

St. Eugene Catholic School is fully accredited by the Oklahoma Conference of Catholic Schools Accrediting Association and is a member of the National Catholic Educational Association.
