5th-8th Grade

5th through 8th grade AcBo teams (considered Upper Elementary and Mid Level in the OAAC) will compete in person for the 2024-25 season.
5th and 6th grade UE in person are round-robin events. All teams play in the district and regional tournaments. The rank of a team in District competition will determine the future path. Each team is guaranteed at least 3 tournaments. UEL competition end at the Area Championship.

7th and 8th grade ML in-person are round robin events. All teams play in the district and regional tournaments. The rank of a team in District competition will determine the future path. Each team is guaranteed at least 3 tournaments. ML Competition ends with the Challenge of the Champions.

District - November
Regional - Mid Level November/December
Firebird - Mid Level January
Area - Mid Level January/February
Phoenix - tbd - After Regional
2022 Mid Level Challenge of the Champions - February/March

The fee to participate is $25 per student. This helps cover the cost of registration. No child will be turned away if they cannot pay the fee. Please contact Kim Hattaway for options.

Please contact Mrs. Hattaway if you are interested in coaching a team at any level. Each team will need 1-2 coaches to schedule and run practices (beginning in Sept/Oct). You may practice using materials available from www.oaac.org.
3rd-4th Grade

3rd-4th grade teams (considered Primary/Elementary in the OAAC) will compete only in the online tournaments.

An Online Tournament is a team event. There is no limit to the size of the team. Team membership may change from one subject area to the next. Online team tournaments begin in November. There are 5 of them:

Language Arts - Nov/Dec
Science - Nov/Dec
Humanities/Fine Arts - Jan/Feb.
Social Studies - Jan/Feb
Mathematics - Jan/Feb
