Please pray for healing and improved health for C. Greuel, grandfather of Elliott and Teddy Hattaway. For Señora Connie Fox-Arrington, grandmother of Trinity and Thomas Martin and our beloved CSSE Spanish teacher, who is going through aggressive breast cancer treatment starting this week. For CSSE alum Martin Horn, uncle of Rebecca and Joseph Horn and son of parishioner Pat Horn, who was badly injured in a surfing accident.

Prayer for Intercession from Fr. Stanley Rother

O faithful shepherd, Blessed Stanley Rother, as priest and missionary, you tilled the soil with your hand and invited Christ Jesus to till the soil of your soul. You became a sign of the love of Christ the Good Shepherd for your People, and blessed their lives by your ministry. You stood firm and did not run from danger, bringing glory to God and His Church in your martyrdom. Blessed Stanley, obtain from the heart of Jesus healing and full recovery for those for whom we pray, and pray for me, that I too may be a sign of Christ’s love among His people. Teach me to faithfully till the soil of this life in the reality given to me by our Father, unafraid to stay with those God has given me, no matter the cost. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Help Us Fill St. Nick’s Shoppe at Catholic Charities
CSSE students will collect children's gift items for St. Nick's Shoppe at Catholic Charities. A flyer will be sent out via RenWeb with a list of ideas. These items are to be unwrapped with their original tags on them. Please have the gift items to your child's class by Fri, Dec. 4. These gifts will be delivered on Mon, Dec. 8. Sacrament of Reconciliation Being Offered for Students
Our school is very fortunate to have Father Christopher Brashears offer his time so our students will have more opportunities to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Below are the dates that the different classes will be able to go. Please discuss with your child the importance of receiving this Sacrament and encourage them to take the opportunity to go when it is offered for their class. Confession will be every Friday 8:15-9:00.

St. Eugene Town Hall Meeting on Dec. 3
Please join us immediately following the 9:30 Mass on Sunday, Dec. 3, in Ross Hall for a parish-wide Town Hall Meeting. Father Wolf, along with the Master Planning Committee as well as Michael Raia and Bob Galloway from Jackson Galloway Architects, will present the results from several focus groups and the recent parish-wide survey regarding the priority needs of the parish and school. This meeting is intended to provide an opportunity for the parish to discuss the master planning process to date and begin to see the emergence of some common themes and values. The visuals that will be presented will show many of the ideas that have been discussed during the focus groups and from the surveys. Additional conceptual schemes may be created following the Town Hall feedback. If you have questions or would like to make additional suggestions, please send an email to [email protected].

St. Patricia’s Guild Meeting
Women of the parish are invited to St. Patricia’s Altar Society Christmas Party! Keep Calm and Pray the Rosary
Please join us at 8am Monday mornings when school is in session in the church as we unite in prayer for our priests, principals, teachers, staff and families. All are welcome. Whether you have never prayed the rosary or pray the rosary daily, we need your voices and your hearts.

One Church Initiative and St. Eugene Survey
The recent Beatification Mass for Blessed Stanley Rother was an extraordinary honor for all Catholics in Oklahoma. The life, faith and sacrifice of one of our own inspires each of us to more fully embrace the call to missionary discipleship. After much prayer and planning, the One Church, Many Disciples campaign has been launched across the entire Archdiocese. Its success will make possible the construction of a beautiful and fitting shrine to honor Blessed Stanley Rother and provide for enhanced ministries to strengthen the Church throughout central and western Oklahoma. St. Eugene Parish will be part of One Church, Many Disciples in the coming months. As we begin preparing for this effort in the parish, we are considering priority needs we could fulfill here locally while also participating in the shared ministries of the Archdiocese. In the last two months, Fr. Wolf has assembled a Master Planning Committee to guide this process and to solicit and process broad feedback at various levels throughout the parish body. While the timeline for completing a master plan for the campaign is relatively short, this process has just begun. As part of inviting parishioners to contribute their ideas and concerns, an electronic survey has been prepared to allow everyone in our parish to give their input into this planning process. Please go online to steugenes.org/survey before Dec. 1 to complete this survey. Paper copies are available in the church office and once complete, can be returned there by Dec. 1.

School Christmas Music Programs
The CSSE Christmas Music Programs are coming up! See the schedule below and invite grandparents, aunts and uncles to enjoy the show! All performances will take place in Ross Hall.
 

 Thursday, December 7, 6:30pm - 3rd, 4th and 5th grade performance and Honor Choir. Students need to arrive by 6:00pm and report to their classrooms.

 Friday, December 8, 2:00pm - Pre-3, Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade performances. Parents may check older siblings out to watch.

Middle School Youth Group
If you are in the 6, 7, or 8 grade, please join us for lectio divina and discussion on Tuesday Dec. 4. The youth group will meet from 3:00 - 4:45. Eat pizza, have social time and pray with your friends. Advent Prayers During Advent, we not only prepare ourselves to celebrate the birth of Jesus, but we also check in to see if we are doing all the things that will keep us ready to receive Jesus when he comes again. Recommit yourselves to praying daily, reading Scripture, and staying faithful to God’s commandments. Pray together that through this Advent season your family will be more prepared to receive Jesus when he comes again.

Week 1 of Advent: Hope Dear Jesus, you are the hope in our messy world. This Advent, help us slow down, listen to your voice, and focus on what’s really important. We place our hope in you as we prepare our hearts to celebrate your birth on Christmas. Amen.

Heavenly Father, your son, Jesus, is your greatest gift to us, a great sign of your love. Guide us as we strive to walk in that love together as a family this Advent. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, bring us closer to each other and to your son. Give us the grace and strength we need every day. Help us to always trust in you. Come, Lord Jesus, lead all people closer to you. Come and dispel the darkness of our world with the light of your love. Amen.
