THOUGHTS & PRAYERS
Please keep former CSSE Kindergarten teacher Marian Jeter in your prayers, as she undergoes surgery and treatment for breast cancer. Continue to pray for the healing and improved health of C. Greuel, grandfather of Elliott and Teddy Hattaway. For Señora Connie Fox-Arrington, grandmother of Trinity and Thomas Martin and our beloved CSSE Spanish teacher, as she continues to recover from aggressive breast cancer treatment.

Prayer for Intercession from Fr. Stanley Rother
O faithful shepherd, Blessed Stanley Rother, as priest and missionary, you tilled the soil with your hand and invited Christ Jesus to till the soil of your soul. You became a sign of the love of Christ the Good Shepherd for your People, and blessed their lives by your ministry. You stood firm and did not run from danger, bringing glory to God and His Church in your martyrdom. Blessed Stanley, obtain from the heart of Jesus healing and full recovery for those for whom we pray, and pray for me, that I too may be a sign of Christ’s love among His people. Teach me to faithfully till the soil of this life in the reality given to me by our Father, unafraid to stay with those God has given me, no matter the cost. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

SCHOOL NEWS
Student Placement for 2018-19 School Year
Class division for grades with two or more homeroom teachers rests solely with the school. Individual written requests for student placement will be considered on an individual basis and only under unusual circumstances.  Written requests are due to the office by May 24th and will be considered and reviewed only if the student is fully enrolled for the 18-19 school year.

We have a new partner for Restaraunt Night Out! Visit Potbelly Sandwich Shop at 13012 N. Penn TONIGHT, April 19, from 4pm-8pm! Let them know you are with St. Eugene and a portion of those sales will be donated back to our school!

Join Us for St. EuGREEN Fest This Sunday! - Earn FREE DRESS DAY!
You are invited to a day of community service and celebration as St. Eugene Church and School come together to tend our earth, this Sunday, April 22 from 1:0pm-4:00pm! Attending families will earn a free dress day for their CSSE students. Donut Day on Monday!
Monday, April 23 is a Donut Day! The 8th Grade class will be selling donuts for $1 each. This is a part of the 8th Grade fundraiser, which helps the class fund their end of the year retreat. Those students who did not buy a Donut Days punch card may still purchase a donut for $1 each. The next Donut Days will be: May 7, and May 14, so keep an eye out for future announcements!

BoxTops and Uptown Receipts Submitted
We have submitted all Uptown Grocery receipts and BoxTops for this school year. Many thanks to all who saved them up and turned them in! Keep saving your receipts and BoxTops through the summer and we can turn them in next year.

WANTED: Gift Cards for Teacher Appreciation Week - April 30-May 4
We LOVE our St. Eugene teachers! Let's show them how much we care! Teacher Appreciation Week is April 30-May 4. PTO is collecting gift cards that will be distributed to teachers to show them how much we appreciate all they do for our children and for the school. Please donate gift cards to the school office by Friday, Apr. 27.

Library Used Book Sale - Donations Due Today!
The Library will be having a Used Book Sale in May. We are accepting donations of  gently used books. If you have books you would like to donate, please send them to the library by end of school today. The money will be used for new library books.

Grades 4-8 Fall Volleyball - Sign Up Today!
Sign up now for your student to play girls volleyball this fall. The registration deadline for grades 4-6 is August 17 and the deadline for grades 7-8 is August 1. Get ahead of the game and register now at  steugeneschool.org/athletics.

Summer Camp is right around the corner and we have lots of fun activities planned! We could use your help though collecting supplies.

Athletic Commission - Committee Members Needed
There are several open positions for the Athletic Commission! This group makes it possible for our kids to play CGSAA sports and ensure the kids have all the proper equipment and jerseys they need for each team. Serving on this committee counts toward Time & Talent hours. Golf Tournament Swag Bag Donations Needed!
We are creating swag bags for the Annual Dad’s Club Golf Tournament, which will be held May 4 at the Lincoln Golf Course. We are in need of item donations to fill 85 bags. Ideas for items are:
- snacks (protein/granola bars, or something easy to eat on the course)
- bottles of water or small bottles of Gatorade
- hand sanitizer
- sunscreen
- golf balls
- golf tees
You are welcome to include a company logo with your items to promote your business!

Time and Talent Reminder
Just a reminder to check Renweb and input your time and talent hours on the system. Each family is required to complete 30 hours during the 2017-18 school year. Thank you again for your service and dedication to St. Eugene!

Register for the Archdiocese of OKC's Camp OLOG!
Register your child for an unforgettable week at Our Lady of Guadalupe (OLOG) Catholic Youth Camp. Our mission is to nurture positive Catholic values in young people and to provide campers a community of faith and fun in a safe environment. We promote the personal and spiritual growth in each young person by developing their prayer life, social skills, independence, and respect for others. There are crafts, hiking, swimming (in-ground pool), fishing, water sports, volleyball, canoeing, archery, scripture adventures, talent show, soccer, campfires, drama, and more! CSSE Summer Camp - Enroll Today!
St. Eugene is excited to offer our annual Summer Camp! Students will enjoy fun activities like swimming, bowling, and more! Our summer program is for children 3 years of age (and potty trained) through 8th grade. Rates include am/pm snack & activities. ST. EUGENE PARISH & YOUTH GROUP NEWS
Attention CURRENT 5th GRADERS!
There will be a Come and See Middle School Youth Group meeting for next year's 6th graders on Tuesday May 15. This was so well received last year and everyone is looking forward to it again this year. Plan on picking up your 5th grader from the youth room at 4:45 that day. There will be food, snacks, and drinks along with prayer and social time.

Youth Group Food Bank Volunteer Day
Middle School Youth Group Families! Help us close out this school year by serving others. We have reserved a limited number of volunteer spots at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. Come help sort and pack food on Wednesday May 23 from 6:15 - 8:30pm. RSVP with Christi Benites.

Important Update - Middle School Lock-In
Due to lack of response, the Middle School Youth Group will NOT be attending the lock in on April 20. Please do not show up expecting to get in as there will not be adequate chaperones available. Thank you for your understanding.

Calling ALL Middle School Students!
Youth Group will be in session each Tuesday until the end of the school year. All current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are welcome to attend. Join us for prayer, adoration, praise and worship, pizza, snacks, drinks, and social time every Tuesday from 3:00 - 4:45. See you soon!
