8th Grade Testing
Information has been sent out regarding the Highschool Placement Test (HSTP) for all 8th grade students.   You can register for the test at www.bmchs.org or www.mountstmary.org.
Please remember that it is a requirement that all 8th grade students take this test regardless of where they will be attending high school.  The dates and corresponding sites are:

First All-School Spirit Day, Friday, September 7!
Friday, September 7 is the first all-school Spirit Day! Spirit Days fall on the first Friday of the month, unless otherwise specified. Spirit Day attire is as follows: Students may wear a school spirit shirt or any other Saint Eugene shirt with either uniform bottoms or jeans (no athletic pants or shorts). Jeans must be free of holes, in good repair, and fit correctly.

Parent Volunteers Needed This Saturday - Playground Maintenance
Looking for a few handy volunteers to help work on the Playground on Saturday, September 1st. The wooden borders around some of the equipment is rotting and needs to be replaced. We need a few people that can help remove the old boards, cut and install the new, and reattach the astro turf. If you are willing and able to help, please contact Bob Taylor at [email protected].

Join Us! Rosary Prayer Group
There is a group of parents and parishioners who meet every Monday morning in the church at 8:00am to pray the rosary together. WE would love for you to join us! Pray, He hears, He answers. All are welcome. Join us!

Sign Up First Lego League Team

8th Grade Trash Bag Fundraiser
Back by popular demand, the 8th grade class is selling heavy-duty trash bags from Frontier Bags, Inc. These are high quality bags suitable in size and strength for your household and yard work needs. They are much thicker and more durable than Hefty bags. 

Three sizes of bags available at only $12.50 per roll.

Orders received through September 15th will be delivered in early October. Please note that 1 case of bags (10 rolls) weighs approximately 50 pounds. 
This fundraiser helps the 8th grade class raise money to attend Camp Classen and for a gift given to the parish or school at the end of the year. These bags are wonderful to have at home and your office. Buy them for your relatives, neighbors, and co-workers!

Box Tops - Get Those Scissors Ready!
It's time to cut out and save those Box Tops! Box Tops are on the boxes and packaging of many of the grocery items you buy every week! Each Box Top earns our school 10 cents in cash! A sheet for Box Tops will be sent home periodically with your child. Please tape or paste your BoxTops onto the sheet and turn them in when you fill up the sheet! Save your Uptown Market receipts and help our school earn FREE classroom equipment! When you shop at Uptown Market, keep your receipts, then send your collected receipts to the school with your student throughout the year. Gala Auction Item Donations Needed
It’s that time of year again parents! The gala is right around the corner and we are in need of donations for the auction. Items could be sports tickets, memorabilia, timeshares, a cash donation, or something from your personal business. Some of you have already donated and your generosity is very much appreciated!! Middle School Youth Group Meeting
Can't wait to see you all on Tues. Sept. 4 for our FIRST Middle School Youth Group meeting!! We welcome any and all students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Come hang out from 2:00 - 3:45 and see what we'll be up to this year. Food, drinks, and snacks provided. 

St. Patricia’s Guild Meeting
Women of the parish are invited to St. Patricia’s Guild Meeting Thursday, Sept 6, 9:30am. This will be our organizational meeting for the year. It will be held in the home of Christie Ardoin- 2625 NW 61st street. Please bring a salad to share for lunch.  Free babysitting is available. Call Christie (405)613-1415 a week in advance for babysitting reservations or if you have any other questions. Hope to see you there! 

2nd Grade First Penance/First Communion Parent Meetings 
Parents of second grade students who will be receiving the sacraments of First Penance and First Holy Communion this spring are required to attend information meetings this October. These will be the only parent meetings offered in advance of Grade 2 Spring 2019 First Communions. Attendance at one meeting is mandatory.
