Please pray for the uncle and family of 3rd grader AJ Edwards-Woodard. AJ's uncle, who lived with the family, passed away this past week.  |  Please continue to pray for the victims of the Moore High School tragedy. Pray for the Sacred Heart School and Parish community - Yuridia Martinez, one of the victims, was a Sacred Heart graduate and parishioner.  |  Continue to pray for Jerry Vandiver, great-grandfather of Alaina & Davyn Schoppa, who has a long road of recovery following a fall at home.  |  Continue to pray for the healing and recovery of the daughter-in-law of Mrs. Mogilka, who was in a serious car accident in November.   |  Continue to pray for the healing of Francisco Peña, brother of Pre K-4 teaching assistant Mrs. Imelda Aleman, who was diagnosed with Leukemia and is undergoing chemo therapy. We pray for the strength for his family during this difficult time.

Don't Miss Out on Important News!
This is a busy time of year between weather, Catholic Schools Week, Enrollment, and classroom news. Make sure you are checking your email and ClassTag regularly, as well as reading the weekly Eagle Express and checking in on social media so you don't miss anything. Also, make sure your ClassTag has been updated to the latest version with notifications turned on. Refer to the family handbook announcement/communication page for more details about how and when you will receive message.

In the event of inclement weather, check the local news for school closings and keep an eye on our social media. We will also send out a ClassTag message. While we try to get information out as soon as a decision is reached, sometimes those decisions do not get made until early in the morning. Please be patient and know that we are trying to make the best choice for our students, families and staff.

Family FUNdraiser Night at Main Event!
Join us for a fun night at Main Event on Thursday, Feb. 20th from 5-8pm! Anyone who leaves their receipt from this night in the box by the front desk helps us raise money for our school! Main Event will give 20% of proceeds back to us!



SCAN OR BRING IN THOSE BOX TOPS!
It’s time again for our school wide Sonic drink BoxTops collection contest!! This contest is from PreK3 to the houses in Middle school. The class or house with the highest number of unexpired BoxTops will win a Sonic drink party. Help raise money for our school by bringing your unexpired BoxTops or download the BoxTops app and scan your receipt. Please place them in the BoxTops mailbox outside of the school office (don’t forget your class or house name) or give to your classroom or house teacher. Collection begins January 27th and the last collection will be Monday February 24th.

St. Eugene Gala Gift Card Drive!
Check your Friday folders - envelopes came home for the annual gift card drive! Please send in unused cards (for shopping, food, or fun) valued at $25 or more. Cash or check donations are also appreciated and will be used by the committee to purchase additional cards. The annual Gala will take place on April 25, 2020. Mark your calendars - It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need everyone’s help to make it a success!
Remember – donations count for time and talent hours and $10 = 1 hour!

Congratulations to the 4th Grade Academic Bowl Team on their 3rd place finish in their first ever Academic Bowl Tournament last month! Team Members are Chibuzo Ejiofor, William Frame, Joseph Horn, Noah Simmons, Jack Taylor, Justin Tran, Alex Yager.

Congratulations to the 5th Grade Academic Bowl Team! They won 2nd place in their Alpha Tournament! Team members are Jack Frame, Blessing Gwaabe, Elliott Hattaway, Charlcie Lawson, Wesley Lemons. They will have their final meet next week!

Congratulations to the 6th Grade Academic Bowl Team! Team members are Emma Burch, Sam Earley, Joey Hutchison, Kathryn Ison, Jesalyne McKinish, John Nguyen, Adam O'Connell, Ryan Vu.

Youth Group News
Grow in your relationship with Christ and build community with youth from our parish. On Tuesday Feb 11, we will meet with the 7th graders. Join us for formation, faith sharing and fun!

Your graduate can attend the Steubenville Mid-America conference once they've completed 8th grade. Registration is open with limited space. The conference is July 10-12 on the campus of Missouri State University. This Spirit-filled conference WILL FULFILL your retreat requirement for the parish Confirmation program. Breakfast Treats After 9:30 Mass - Volunteers Needed - Sign Up!
In order to bring more variety and create a greater sense of community, breakfast casseroles and breakfast treats are being offered after 9:30 Mass on Sundays. Four volunteers are needed for each weekend to provide these items.  There are recipes available, but feel free to bring your own recipe, or some treat your family enjoys that you would like to share with others. Church Nursery in need of Volunteers
The nursery is in need of fill-in volunteers for Sunday 9:30am and 12:00pm mass and Wednesday evenings. Volunteers are also needed the second Saturday of every month in the evening and for other special events. Please contact the nursery director for more information at   [email protected] . Vocare Chalice at Mass

The Church is hosting a daily prayer every afternoon Monday-Friday in the church at 2:45 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. We invite you to come when you can. There will be different prayers every month. Please join us!
