We are beginning to plan our annual Fine Arts Night and wanted to share with you some information about the different ways your families can participate.
Fine Arts Night will be held in Ross Hall on Friday, February 2nd at 6:00 P.M. This event is designed to showcase the many artistic talents of our students and celebrate Catholic Schools Week 2018!
Performances: Mr. Carlton will be organizing the performances for the evening. If your child would like to share one of their wonderful talents with us, please fill out the attached form and Mr. Carlton will schedule a time to preview the performance. This year we are asking that performances do not exceed a 4 minute time limit and for your form to be turned into Mr. Carlton no later than Monday, January 22nd. 2nd graders and up only please!
Culinary Arts: Ms. Whitmire will be organizing the cupcake competition. If your child would like to enter please bring a dozen cupcakes to the event by 5:45 P.M. in a disposable container with the label below filled out and attached. Any entries not labeled will not be judged. The cupcakes will be judged on flavor, presentation, and originality. One award will be given for each category.
Parents, please remember this is a youth baking competition so let the kids do as much of the baking and decorating as you feel they can do safely. Entries need to be made by one student only please. The cupcakes will be judged during the first half of the performances and winners will be announced during intermission. Cupcakes will be sold throughout the event for 1.00 each and coffee will be available as well.
* All proceeds from Fine Arts Night go to the Fine Arts Department and we have many plans to create bigger and better chances for your children to develop their artistic talents.
If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Whitmire or Mr. Carlton. We look forward to seeing you there!
