Thoughts and Prayers
Please pray for healing and improved health for C. Greuel, grandfather of Elliott and Teddy Hattaway. For Señora Connie Fox-Arrington, grandmother of Trinity and Thomas Martin and our beloved CSSE Spanish teacher, who is going through aggressive breast cancer treatment starting this week. For CSSE alum Martin Horn, uncle of Rebecca and Joseph Horn and son of parishioner Pat Horn, who was badly injured in a surfing accident.

Prayer for Intercession from Fr. Stanley Rother

O faithful shepherd, Blessed Stanley Rother, as priest and missionary, you tilled the soil with your hand and invited Christ Jesus to till the soil of your soul. You became a sign of the love of Christ the Good Shepherd for your People, and blessed their lives by your ministry. You stood firm and did not run from danger, bringing glory to God and His Church in your martyrdom. Blessed Stanley, obtain from the heart of Jesus healing and full recovery for those for whom we pray, and pray for me, that I too may be a sign of Christ’s love among His people. Teach me to faithfully till the soil of this life in the reality given to me by our Father, unafraid to stay with those God has given me, no matter the cost. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Help Us Fill St. Nick’s Shoppe at Catholic Charities
CSSE students will collect children's gift items for St. Nick's Shoppe at Catholic Charities. A flyer will be sent out via RenWeb with a list of ideas. These items are to be unwrapped with their original tags on them. Please have the gift items to your child's class by Fri, Dec. 4. These gifts will be delivered on Mon, Dec. 8. Sacrament of Reconciliation Being Offered for Students
Our school is very fortunate to have Father Christopher Brashears offer his time so our students will have more opportunities to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Below are the dates that the different classes will be able to go. Please discuss with your child the importance of receiving this Sacrament and encourage them to take the opportunity to go when it is offered for their class. Confession will be every Friday 8:15-9:00.

Accelerated Reader November Challenge
The AR reading incentive for November will be a Hot Cocoa Party and a Christmas movie to be scheduled in December. It will be the class with the most AR points per student (total points divided by number of students). The class must have 100% participation. 100% participation for this month will be every student must have the number of points that equals their grade level. For example 1st grade- everyone must have 1 point, 2nd grade- everyone must have 2 points, etc. The top 20 middle school students will be able to earn a hot cocoa party as well. The last day to earn points is Nov. 30, so this means that they can earn point on books they read over Thanksgiving break.

School Christmas Music Programs
The CSSE Christmas Music Programs are coming up! See the schedule below and invite grandparents, aunts and uncles to enjoy the show! All performances will take place in Ross Hall.

• Thursday, December 7, 6:30pm - 3rd, 4th and 5th grade performance and Honor Choir. Students need to arrive by 6:00pm and report to their classrooms.
• Friday, December 8, 2:00pm - Pre-3, Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade performances. Parents may check older siblings out to watch.

CGSAA Basketball Update
The CGSAA Basketball Leagues will begin play the weekend of December 2nd thru March 4th. Schedules are to be posted on the CGSAA website by November 20th. Take the Cake, Champions!
Congratulations to the CSSE 5th grade boys basketball team comprised of Rocky Joyce, Spencer Bass, Bear Rogers, Collier Hill, Corn0elius Durant, Leland Paulino, and Bryce Schwarz for taking home the Championship title at this past weekend’s Take the Cake Basketball tournament. Great job boys!

CGSAA Coaches Training – Nov. 29

BMHS Santa Babies Pom Camp
The holidays are upon us and Bishop McGuinness Pom would like to invite you to join in our yuletide glee! As we prepare for our State competition and first trip to Nationals, we are hosting a Very Merry Irish Pom Clinic to aid in your shopping bustle needs. We would love to spend the afternoon with our biggest little Irish fans and invite you back the following day to enjoy a holiday performance from your very own Santa Babies, as well as a special exhibition of the Bishop McGuinness Varsity State Routine of 2017-18. One Church Initiative and St. Eugene Survey
The recent Beatification Mass for Blessed Stanley Rother was an extraordinary honor for all Catholics in Oklahoma. The life, faith and sacrifice of one of our own inspires each of us to more fully embrace the call to missionary discipleship.

After much prayer and planning, the One Church, Many Disciples campaign has been launched across the entire Archdiocese. Its success will make possible the construction of a beautiful and fitting shrine to honor Blessed Stanley Rother and provide for enhanced ministries to strengthen the Church throughout central and western Oklahoma.

St. Eugene Parish will be part of One Church, Many Disciples in the coming months. As we begin preparing for this effort in the parish, we are considering priority needs we could fulfill here locally while also participating in the shared ministries of the Archdiocese.

In the last two months, Fr. Wolf has assembled a Master Planning Committee to guide this process and to solicit and process broad feedback at various levels throughout the parish body. While the timeline for completing a master plan for the campaign is relatively short, this process has just begun.

As part of inviting parishioners to contribute their ideas and concerns, an electronic survey has been prepared to allow everyone in our parish to give their input into this planning process.

Please go online to steugenes.org/survey before Dec. 1 to complete this survey. This survey is being advertised and made as widely available as possible, including through an email to parishioners and school parents, on the church and school website and on the parish app. Paper copies are available in the church office and once complete, can be returned there by Dec. 1.

Scholastic Book Fair Is Riding Off Into the Sunset…
The Scholastic Book Fair ends this Friday! Stop by the CSSE school library and browse the selection of great books. Students must be accompanied by an adult before and after school.

Rustic Nativity Craft
Start a new family tradition! Come see examples of an easy homemade Nativity scene for your home and learn how to make one for your family. Big or small, intricate or simple. You won't believe how easy it is to make your own rustic Nativity for your home using simple things from around your house.

Join us in the Youth Room on Sunday Nov. 26 from 10:30-12:30 for an introduction to this fun family project. Light snacks and drinks will be served. Bring paper bags, twigs, glue, cardboard, scissors, aluminum foil, styrofoam, tape, hot glue guns.
