Please pray for healing of Francisco Pena, brother of CSSE Pre K-4 teaching assistant Mrs. Imelda Aleman, who was diagnosed with Leukemia and is undergoing chemo therapy. We pray for the strength for his family during this difficult time.

For the success of our capital campaign - One Church, Growing Together. 
May we give generously in support of the continued growth of our church and school 
So we can continue God's call to evangelize people of all ages

Flynn O'Hara Uniform Fitting Event
Kids never seem to stop growing! Come by the school on Tuesday, November 19th between 1-5pm for our on-site Uniform Measuring Day and make sure your kids have everything they need in the correct size. The girls and boys flyers contain event information as well as uniform requirements and pricing.

Veteran’s Day Assembly
On Monday. November 11th the 8th Grade class will be planning and hosting a Veteran’s Day Assembly. This project is a part of their SALT (Serve, Appreciate, Love, Teach) focus for the year which is “Care for Veterans and Active Duty Service Members”.  All veterans and active duty service members that are family members, parishioners or friends of our Saint Eugene students are welcome to attend, and join us afterward for coffee and donuts. The assembly will start at 8:00 am in the school gym.  Please RSVP by Thursday, November 7th to [email protected], if you have a family member or friend attending.

Saint Eugene Food Drive Ends Friday!
We still need your help to bring in food donations by November 8th as a part of our Students Against Hunger Food Drive sponsored by the 4th Grade Class.  All of the food collected will stay in the local community. Something that is new this year is that much of the food will be donated to our own parish Saint Vincent DePaul food pantry. A big thank you goes to Mrs. Borgert and Ms. Young for taking the extra steps needed to make sure our own parish food pantry can benefit from the student donations.
To make a food donation, bring in-date canned or boxed (no glass please) food donations to your child’s classroom. MOst needed items include: canned meat, canned vegetables, canned fruit, peanut butter, beans and rice. 
4th Grade is excited and eager to serve Jesus by helping feed the hungry this year! Our goal this year is to raise 4,000lbs of food. Please join us in this effort!

The Book Fair is coming! 
CSSE's Scholastic Book Fair is Saturday, Nov. 16th through Friday, Nov. 22nd, and we need lots of help to make this a fun and successful event for our library! Earn Time & Talent hours by helping with Set Up, Sales, and Clean Up. Use the following link to choose your time slot:

Shop the online book fair and set up e-wallets to give your kids a cash-free shopping allowance! It's simple: Use your credit card to assign an allowance to your child, volunteers can look up your child's name and deduct purchases from the allowance. Whatever isn't used goes back on your credit card! 

Circle of Grace
During the week of November 18th-22nd, at your child’s regular religious education time, the Circle of Grace curriculum will be taught.  The aim of this program is to teach children how to be safe, protect themselves, and communicate any potential danger.  In the Church’s desire to help keep your children safe, the Archdiocese of  Oklahoma City requires that all children and young people participating in religious education in any parish or Catholic school in the Archdiocese receive this instruction.  If you have any questions, concerns or would like to review the curriculum, please contact Mrs. Ison at [email protected]

Dads' Club Scotch Tasting Event
Please consider taking part in our annual Scotch and Cigar event for Saint Eugene on Friday, November 15th.

Proceeds from the evening allow the Dad's Club to make a gift to the the Principal's Discretionary Fund so Mrs. Goldsworthy has some extra-budgetary funds to enhance the school and educational experience.  These funds have been used for safety improvements and to purchase books for teacher learning.

Technology Club November Meeting Change
Change of date for Technology Club’s November meeting. We will now be meeting Thursday November 14th.

Turkey Bingo Nov 16!
Join school and church families for fun and food at the annual 8th grade Turkey Bingo after 5pm Mass on Saturday, Nov. 16th. This event helps our 8th grade class raise funds for their retreat and class gift. There will be food and drinks for sale, raffles, and the chance to be one of the lucky families that gets to call out "BINGO!" and go home with a turkey!


PTO Dues
It's never too late to pay your $35 PTO dues. By paying your dues, your family is helping PTO provide many fun activities for the students and teachers.  Grandparents Day, Donuts with Dad, Muffins with Mom, Treat Trolley for Teachers, Lunch on Last Day of School, Teacher Appreciation Week, & Teacher Christmas Luncheon are just some of the things that your dues help pay for.  You can drop off a check, made out to CSSE PTO, or cash in an envelope, labeled PTO Dues, in the school office.  An even easier way to pay your dues is by Venmo, @csse-pto-19.  If you have any questions, please contact Ashley Bass at 206-8906 or [email protected]. St. Eugene Parish Shirts Available!
There are St. Eugene Parish shirts for sale in youth sizes extra small through extra large for $10 each. They can be worn on Spirit Day! Cash or checks made payable to Saint Eugene Church are accepted and can be turned in to the school office. Adult sizes can be purchased in the church office for $10 each.

Important SALT Shirt Info
Pull out those beautiful blue SALT shirts from last year and make sure it still fits. All students will wear their SALT shirts on our annual MLK Day of Service January 20th 2020!

Can’t find yours? Email Brigitte to order you a new shirt for $15. 
New to the school this year? We will get shirts ordered for your student thanks to a generous donation from a community member (sizes are collected in school so there is no need to email Brigitte)

Youth Group Service Projects
Service projects for the middle school youth group are listed below. We still need parent volunteers for these projects to happen.

• November 25 - Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma - Arrive at 6:30pm and we will finish up by 8:30pm.
• December 10 - Blessing Bags / Homeless Helpers - To be completed during regularly scheduled youth group time

Children's Liturgy of the Word Volunteer Needed
A volunteer to serve one Sunday a month during your regular Mass time as a Catechist for Children's Liturgy of the Word is needed! Two Catechists take the children, ages 4-7, to the chapel after the Opening Prayer to present and discuss that Sunday's Readings, especially the Gospel. The Catechist materials lead the Catechist through the presentation. It is a beautiful way to engage young children in the Gospel message! October start date will depend upon gathering enough volunteers. 24 are needed to present Children's Liturgy at all the Masses once a month. Vocare Chalice at Mass
We need more families to take the Vocare Chalice home for a week and pray for Vocations. We especially need people after Saturday and Sunday 5:00 pm Masses.  If interested or have questions, please email Susan Givens at [email protected] or call her at 751-7115.


Afternoon Prayer
The Church is hosting a daily prayer every afternoon Monday-Friday in the church at 2:45 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. We invite you to come when you can. There will be different prayers every month and the month of August we will add a new prayer for the school.. Please join us!
