PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray for healing of Francisco Pena, brother of CSSE Pre K-4 teaching assistant Mrs. Imelda Aleman, who was diagnosed with Leukemia and is undergoing chemo therapy. We pray for the strength for his family during this difficult time. Please continue to pray for Jacob Stone, father of Ella and Jackson Stone, and Chris Kusel, father of Lauren and Kate Kusel, who are both recovering from heart surgeries.
For the success of our capital campaign - One Church, Growing Together.
May we give generously in support of the continued growth of our church and school
So we can continue God's call to evangelize people of all ages
Through spiritual education and formation. Let us pray to the Lord.
If you would like to include something in the Prayer Requests section, please contact Kristin Goodale at [email protected].

SCHOOL NEWS
Five Dollar Free Dress Fridays!
Mrs. Goldsworthy is introducing a new monthly event: Five Dollar Free Dress Fridays! On a designated Friday of every month from September through May, students in kindergarten through 8th grade may pay $5.00 for an “out of uniform” dress day following the “free dress day” guidelines. Parents have the option to pay upfront or send $5.00 (exact change or check) with their child on the designated Friday. Teachers will collect the money and turn in to the office in a designated envelope. The first Five Dollar Free Dress Friday is September 27th. Each month we will send out dates and reminders.
Free Dress Guidelines for the 19-20 school year
Students may wear free dress on specially designated days. In general, free dress is attire that is appropriate for school activities and is not distracting, demeaning or degrading to self or others. All clothing and appearance should reflect the values of The Catholic School of St. Eugene.
Please guide your child in selecting the appropriate attire for free dress. When in doubt, do not wear it. Violations, as determined by the principal or teacher, will result in the student calling a parent to bring appropriate attire, and loss of the next free dress day.
Construction on Hefner Rd and Alternate Routes
There will be construction continuing on Hefner Road directly in front of the school in the next few weeks. See the maps attached to the message in ClassTag to help you find alternate routes to and from the school so you can attempt to avoid the congestion that will develop on Hefner between May and Penn. Please keep in mind that Britton Road is also under construction, down to one westbound lane, and is closed to eastbound traffic between Penn and May. Please allow yourself extra time to get to school for drop off and pick up.
Student Records Needed
Parents, if Mrs. Patrick has contacted you regarding updates or missing records for your child's file, please make sure you complete all necessary forms as soon as possible. Every student file is required to be up-to-date in order to continue attending CSSE. Mrs. Goldsworthy will be sending individual letters soon with missing information and deadline requirements.
School Store Opens October 1!
The School Store officially opens its doors for business at 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1. Our fifth grade students are selling a fabulous selection of school supplies. All proceeds from the store will be donated to the Friends of Bolivia mission. The store will be open from 7:40-7:55 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Join Technology Club!
Technology Club will be meeting one Thursday each month of the year.
We will meet in the art room from 6pm-8pm with pizza and drinks provided. Our meetings will be open to 4th-8th grade. The dues are $5 per meeting or $30 for the entire year.
The students will have some social time to eat and visit with their friends and then they will have the opportunity to work with STEM gadgets or spend time in the computer lab. This is an extra curricular opportunity to provide a social environment for students with interests in technology.
These are the Thursdays we will have a Technology Club meeting:
Sept 26
Oct 24
Nov 21
Dec 12
Jan 30
Feb 27
Mar 26
April 30
