Plumbing Project Update:

You may have noticed that the plumbing work outside of the gym/Ross Hall area still sports a big hole and a bobcat! We also gained two new digging sites: one outside the main school entrance and one on the back side of the school. The construction crew found that the main lines were more deteriorated than expected and it has caused instability to the line. They are working to locate the main line at the best location. They have again capped the line for now so that we can continue with plumbing, while they develop the next steps. They will begin again at our Fall Break. For now, we have plumbing, but will still have the “holes” around campus.

New Construction set to Begin: September 27th

The One Church Many Disciples Campaign that began in 2018 is set to break ground on the first of its projects: Accessibility to the east side of the church.  New parking spaces will be added along the drive that follows around the east side of the church along with new sidewalks to access the east entries. Construction on this project will begin on Monday. 

What this means for our school and traffic flow:

• Morning Drop Off?  Our drop-off locations should not be affected. Those 1-8th grade parents who drop off using the east side entrance will be driving through the construction zone, however, construction will not be active until 8am. 

• Daytime Office Access & Emergency Routes?  One lane is required to be accessible during the school day for people to access the school office and for emergency clearance requirements.

• Pick-Up? No changes! 1st - 8th grade pick up route should not be affected because no cars are allowed to enter from the east side into the carpool line.

• AfterCare?  NEW PICK UP LOCATION!  Due to the construction slimming the drive to one lane around to the main school area, we are moving the pick up door for Aftercare students. Parents will now park in the north lot and walk down the sidewalk west of the building to the Aftercare “back door.” Signage will be posted. This is still the AfterCare Commons, just the backside.  The doorbell will be fixated to the door. Follow the same procedures.  See MAP HERE.
