Welcome to Middle School Literature!  I am Walaya Lupp, and I am excited to teach your young adult the love of reading!

I am a certified Reading Specialist with a Master's Degree in Reading from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a Bachelor's in English Education.  I have also had the pleasure of attending Columbia University's Teacher College-Reading & Writing Project  three summers in a row to further my own knowledge of literary instruction.  My other teaching certifications also include English and Special Education.

I have been in education for over 15 years in both middle and high schools, as well as public and charter schools.  Teaching in parochial school has been one of the best teaching experiences of my career!

My husband Joe and I have two boys who also attend school at CSSE.  I spend my time rearing my two young boys and raising our flock of 16 chickens, 4 ducklings, and our Miniature Australian Shepherd, Baker Mayfield.  I grew up in the country, and fishing is what I enjoy doing as much as I love reading, raising chickens, and teaching kids about the wonders of books!  I'm looking forward to another great year!
